As ministries efforts spread into the remote areas fo India, the need for Indian language films was felt more than ever. Hence film-dubbing project is now undertaken.
Candle In The Dark Story of William Carey,
a shoe maker, who came to India on God's call to become
the "Father of the Missionary movement".
Dubbed in 7 languages of Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati. Tamil,
Telugu and Malayalam, the film is used for training
in mission, for challenging chruches and mission agencies
in missionary evangelism and nroadcasting the story
through satellite and cable channels globally.
Cross and the Switchblade - Hindi.
A classical theatrical film that has the story of Nicky
Cruz, a hard-core gangster has a change of heart and
is even spared his life by his former gang mates. David
Wilkerson's courageous efforts pay fruit in his mission
in the back alleys of the city of New York, despite
initial disappointments. It is a wonderfully made film,
whcih has been used very effectivley for evangelism
among youth.
Beyod the Next Mountain - Hindi.
A the close of the 19th century, the British branded
the Hamar people of Northeast Inda as "The worst headhunters."
But in 1910, a single copy of the gospel of John came
into the village and changed the course of history for
the Hamar people. The headhunter Chawnga, the father
of Rochung Pudaite became a heart hunter. The story
is one of the most thrilling accounts in missionary
annals. The fact that "new life in Christ" could belong
to the Hamar tribe as well as to the wolrd inspired
Rochung and his wife Mawii to establish Bibles for the
world in 1973.
